As the carrier of brand, pharmaceutical packaging plays an important role in brand connotation, brand image and brand recognition. Have the appearance level, have the connotation, is the real good product.


Suhuang cough capsule is the exclusive variety of Beijing Haiyan Pharmaceutical, and the formulation is derived from the clinical experience of more than 40 years by Professor Chao Enxiang, a Chinese medical master and professor in the Respiratory Department of Chinese Medicine of China-Japan Friendship Hospital. Since 2016, the average growth rate of the annual target output value has reached 46.4%. In order to meet the market demand, the average unqualified product rate of the 20 batches of Suhuang cough capsule packaging process produced in September 2018 has reached 0.82%!



Therefore, "reducing the unqualified product rate of Suhuang cough capsule packaging process" is an urgent problem to be solved. In order to be able to comprehensively analyze the reasons that may lead to unqualified products in the current packaging line, the members of the "Woodpecker" QC team analyzed factors such as personnel, equipment, materials, methods, environment, and measurement. After intense discussion, a total of 10 end factors were sorted out by using the cause-and-effect diagram tool. Then, the team members investigated all the end factors by field test, and finally identified 4 main reasons.


After determining the cause, the team took advantage of the victory. When solving the problem of misalignment between plates, the team members actively put forward reasonable suggestions based on the actual situation. On the premise of not affecting other actions of the pusher rod of the pillow packer, the overall cushion height of the pusher rod of the pillow packer can reduce the phenomenon of plate compression caused by misalignment between plates during the operation of the equipment, and add pressure sensing devices to prevent the risk of plate compression caused by the operation of the equipment in advance. In this way, the number of defective products can be reduced.


Then the team adopted the method of orthogonal test, and explored the optimal process range of the pillow packaging process through a large number of tests to further reduce the rate of unqualified products in the packaging process. After nearly 6 months of testing, we finally found out the optimal range of process parameters and improvement measures for Suhuang cough capsule automatic packaging line pillow bag process. After the effect check, our results exceeded the target!
